"STORY OF THE AUTHOR VITTAL KOPPAL" AKA "OSHO ALOK ABHIJEET"
Vittal Koppal was born on June 26, 1957. He is a global thinker. He writes to connect with the world while believing that an author needs to concentrate on the individual to reach the collective. He had always been restless and hell-bent on pursuing knowledge as a young boy. His father was a double engineering degree holder from Russia. Vittal met Osho at Osho’s ashram in Pune, six months before Osho’s death. The author’s mindset changed then. His journey from an Indian to a global citizen started. He was in search of interconnection.
Vittal’s parents were strict with him as he was weak in mathematics. Although he wanted to join an arts college and do his master’s in philosophy, his dad made him opt for Textile Technology. However, the young man read books by Swami Vivekananda, Ramana Maharishi, and the Bhagavad Gita. He also studied the Vedas and Upanishads to keep his interest in literature alive, and he watched English spy movies. He got married at the age of 24 and became a lecturer at the Rural Technology Institute. His elder daughter, Sharada, was soon born, and after three years, Varsha became part of his growing family.
After retirement, Vittal went back to his village in Karnataka, India. Now the owner of a small farmhouse, he continues his research work related to global perspectives. His first book, “Think Globally Act Locally,” was published in 2008 by his American Facebook friend, Mr. Smith. In his book “Mr. Book,” recently published in January 2025, Vittal has created a new genre by blending a self-help book and a novel. The hero of the story is a book that narrates the author’s perseverance to write a creative piece. Vittal has given a soul to the book and has depicted the procedures to write, polish, and publish books through KDP. His book is so poetic that people can be inspired to write poetry after reading this work. “Mr. Book” is a good read, as it shows how the creative process of book writing is all about connection, as evident in the quote: “And so, dear reader, as you hold me in your hands and turn my pages, know that you are part of my journey.” I really enjoyed every single word of “Mr. Book.” The author depicts Mr. Book’s purpose as: “Through every marketing campaign and strategy, Mr. Book grew increasingly aware of one important thing: connections. It wasn’t just about selling copies, it was about building relationships with readers, bloggers, influencers, and fellow authors. These connections helped shape the narrative surrounding him and created a community of people invested…”
Vittal’s distinctive voice, in his book “The Oracle Reborn,” published in December 2024, weaves together a vibrant narrative of historical insights, philosophical reflections, and practical wisdom, offering readers a profound and thought-provoking experience that inspires action.
His work bridges cultural and intellectual divides, inviting readers to adopt a timeless and unified perspective that fosters global harmony and interdependence. With every written word, Vittal’s passion for promoting understanding, empathy, and collective purpose shines through, resonating with readers seeking to navigate the complexities of an interconnected world. Through his writing, he empowers readers to reexamine their perceptions and envision a shared future of unity, collaboration, and mutual respect. Vittal’s books take readers on a transformative journey, challenging limited perspectives and celebrating the boundless potential of humanity to transcend divisions.
This book is a testament to his unwavering faith in the power of ideas to shape a brighter, more inclusive future. Beyond his writing, Vittal values simplicity, family, and meaningful relationships in his personal life. As a retired Professor of Textile Technology with a rich life experience, Vittal embodies the idea that it’s never too late to embark on a journey of discovery, creativity, and impact. Through his work, Vittal aims to educate, inspire, and leave a lasting impression on the hearts and minds of his readers, creating a lasting legacy that transcends generations.
